Make the Best Out of Your Trip to NADA

nadaDo you have plans from March 31st-April 3rd? If you answer is anything other than “Yes, I’m going to the NADA Convention!,” then you should seriously reconsider and register now! The National Automobile Dealers Association Convention is one of the largest gatherings in the Automotive industry. Regardless of what aspect of the industry you are in, there is something there for you. Held in the Las Vegas Convention Center, the NADA Convention is a great place to network with others in the industry, view new products and attend some great seminars.

Registration and Pricing

Even though it’s just a few days away, you can still register for the convention, and there are even discounts available. Online Registration is available and the most efficient way to get yourself signed up. You will be emailed your confirmation, from that you can take advantage of the scan pods at the convention and bypass the lines. Another option for registering is to fax the completed Registration and Housing form, the fax lines are open 24/7. Become a NADA member and take advantage of substantial discounts for the convention as well as member’s hotel specials.

Education and Training

The NADA Convention Workshops are a full of information for dealerships and body repair shops alike. They cover all topics relative to the industry from marketing via digital media, to hiring, developing and keeping auto body technicians. The workshops begin at noon on March 31st, and run until 4:00pm April 4th. Check out the workshop schedule here.

Navigating the Convention

Covering the 3.2 million square feet of the convention center may seem a little daunting, but fear not, there are several tools at your disposal to keep you on track. Take a look at the Schedule Tool to check when and where certain activities are taking place. You can also download the Expo Map; this will help you make a more efficient plan of attack. Finally, check out MYNADAPLANNER, an interactive tool that allows you to create a list of classes, exhibits and speakers you want to see. Access the planner online or export the info to your mobile calendar. The show is very big, so take some time and prioritize. A little planning can help maximize your experience.

The focus of the convention is all things automotive, but don’t think that’s all you will get while there. NADA has put together the Lifestyle Experience, for those that may need a break from the hustle and bustle. The Keynote speakers are not be missed either, with NFL MVP quarterback Peyton Manning, Former Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, and Redneck Comedian Jeff Foxworthy rounding out the lineup, convention goers are in for a treat.

There will be a great deal of information coming your way from the convention and even for a veteran attendee it can get a little overwhelming. The main goal is to enjoy your time and retain as much information as you can. Once you return from the show, make sure to try and implement your new found knowledge as quickly as possible.
